Version 2025 for the CY 2025 CRA data due March 2, 2026 is now available. Each software version is year-specific (i.e. 2025 reporting requires 2025 CRA DES and not 2024 CRA DES).
The software must be installed locally on a hard disk; it is NOT network compatible.

File Specifications
The CRA file specifications describe the format used when sending automated CRA data to the Board of Governors. This format should be used if you are a CRA reporter regulated by OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency), FRS (Federal Reserve System),or FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation). CRA data may be submitted via diskette, CD-ROM, or e-mail.

Installation Instructions
- The software should be installed locally; it is NOT network compatible.
- Locate the directory which contains the "HMDA (or CRA) DES 20XX Setup" installation package.
- Double-click on the installer to launch the wizard which will guide you through the installation process.
Note: To preserve your data when installing a newer release of the Data Entry Software, updates should be installed to the same location as the earlier release of the same year(e.g., CRA DES v. 2024 R.2 should be installed to the same location as CRA DES v. 2024).
If installing a new year release (e.g. you are installing CRA DES 2017 at the beginning of your reporting year), the software must be installed to a new, year-specific directory. (The software is configured to do this by default.)
